Luci y su familia viajan a Dakota del Norte para ver a su tía Frankie como cada verano. La temporada de lluvias amenaza con desbordar al río junto a la casa de su tía, y la familia de Luci ha llegado justo antes que la tormenta que se avecina para acabar con la calma del campo.
 
Luci and her family travel to North Dakota to see her uncle Frankie like every summer. The rainy season threatens to overflow the river next to her aunt's house, and Luci's family has arrived just before the approaching storm to end the calm of the countryside.
