Samir es un niño palestino que necesita cuidados médicos por causa de una rodilla fracturada. Su madre ha conseguido que lo atiendan en un hospital israelí gracias a un permiso especial. Al principio, Samir cree que él es muy distinto a los otros niños que conoce, pero pronto descubre que tienen mucho en común; especialmente con Yonatan, que es israelí y ama la astronomía. Juntos emprenden un viaje a Marte, allí enfrentan sus temores, reconcilian sus diferencias y disfrutan por fin de la libertad.
 
Samir is a Palestinian boy who needs medical care for a broken knee. His mother has managed to get him treated in an Israeli hospital thanks to a special permit. At first, Samir believes that he is very different from the other children he knows, but he soon discovers that they have a lot in common; especially with Yonatan, who is Israeli and loves astronomy. Together they embark on a journey to Mars, there they face their fears, reconcile their differences and finally enjoy freedom.
