Este Bestiario recoge, por un lado, la influencia del entorno boscoso que marcó la infancia y el devenir de Leonardo da Vinci y, por otro, la profusa imaginación que siempre caracterizó al genio del Renacimiento. La humanización de los animales actúa como reflejo de los vicios, virtudes y excesos del ser humano, e invita a la reflexión en un momento de delicado equilibrio natural, marcado por la amenaza de extinción de muchas especies. 
 
This Bestiary collects, on the one hand, the influence of the wooded environment that marked the childhood and future of Leonardo da Vinci and, on the other, the profuse imagination that always characterized the genius of the Renaissance. The humanization of animals acts as a reflection of the vices, virtues and excesses of the human being, and invites reflection in a moment of delicate natural balance, marked by the threat of extinction of many species.
