Este es un relato tradicional del pueblo indígena pemón sobre una luciérnaga (cocuyo) que rechaza el afecto de un viejo arbusto de frambuesas. Con el tiempo, el arbusto se transforma en una planta hermosa, pero la luciérnaga se arrepiente de su decisión anterior, tomada por orgullo.
 
This is a traditional Pemón Indigenous folktale about a firefly (cocuyo) who rejects the affection of an old raspberry bush. Over time, the bush transforms into a beautiful plant, but the firefly regrets his earlier prideful decision.
