Stories are how community begins.
Before action, there is listening.
Before change, there are stories.
At Cinco Books, community work begins by creating spaces to listen, to tell, to read, and to speak. These experiences help us grow awareness — individually and together — so that care and action come naturally.

Stories y Letras
Our Podcast
Conversations, voices, and stories that explore language, identity, and community.
Cuentos en Macondo
Monthly storytelling sessions for children and families, celebrating imagination, language, and connection.
Lattes & Lectura
Book Club
A space to read, reflect, and connect through books and conversation.
Open Mic
Poetry & Voices
An open space to share words, poetry, and stories — because every voice matters.
Listening leads to understanding.
Understanding leads to responsibility.
The stories we share and the spaces we create help develop social awareness—not only individually, but as a community.
That awareness becomes meaningful when it is put into practice.

Libros y Gatos
The empathy cultivated through stories extends beyond books.
Through Libros y Gatos, we support the rescue and care of street cats as a way of practicing compassion and social responsibility.

Children’s Literacy Project – Honduras
Social awareness also calls us to act beyond our immediate community.
In partnership with Mayor Potential, we help bring books, storytelling, and educational opportunities to vulnerable children in Honduras.
Community collaborators
We are grateful for the organizations that help shape and sustain this work.
