Cándido López fue un pintor argentino que se enlistó como voluntario en la llamada "Guerra de la tripe alianza"  en contra de Paraguay. Resuelto a llevar una crónica pictórica del conflicto en el que decidió luchar en defensa del Paraguay este libro nos muestra,  la vida del artista, su formación y su convicción por dejar testimonio de esta guerra infame.
 
 
Cándido López was an Argentine artist who enlisted as a volunteer in the so-called "War of the Triple Alliance"  against Paraguay. He was determined to keep a pictorial chronicle of the conflict in which he decided to fight in defense of Paraguay, this book shows us the artist's life, his training, and his conviction for leaving testimony of this infamous war.
